Bend it like Beckham

This is about an Indian girl called Jess and her friend Jules. They both play soccer for the Hounslow Harriers girls team. Jess' parents don't believe she should be playing football, instead she should be learning how to cook dahl so that an Indian boy will marry her. Anyway Jess and Jules both fall for their coach Joe. Jess' sister Pinkie is getting married on the same day as the grand final (where an American scout is coming to watch Jess and Jules). Anyway this is a feel good movie, that I thought was done very well. Parminder Nagra as Jess is brilliant, she is a great actress who really sold the films more sappy scenes. Juliet Stevenson is great as Jules' mum who thinks that Jules and Jess are lesbians. I really liked this film and recommend it to anyone.
